Registered Provisional Psychologist Supervision in Calgary, Cochrane & Alberta

Supporting growth, development, and authentic professional identity.

Aspen Gowers, Registered Psychologist, provides primary and secondary supervision for Registered Provisional Psychologists working toward registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP). Based in Cochrane and serving Calgary and communities throughout Alberta, supervision is available in person and virtually, with onsite supervision available where appropriate and arranged as part of the supervision plan.

My supervision style is relational, experiential and developmentally focused. Alongside meeting the ethical, professional and competency requirements of supervised practice, I support provisional psychologists in developing strong clinical judgement, confidence, self-awareness and an authentic professional identity.

I offer both individual and group supervision, creating spaces where emerging and experienced clinicians can explore clinical challenges, build new skills, and deepen their professional identity in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Services include:

  • Primary and Secondary Supervision for Provisional Psychologists

  • Assessment Supervision

  • Play Therapy Supervision (for certification in Canada and the U.S.)

  • EMDR Consultation (for clinicians working toward certification)

  • Supervision-of-Supervision (supporting clinicians who are stepping into the role of supervisor)

Whether you are just beginning your professional journey or seeking guidance at a more advanced stage, I provide a warm, collaborative space to help you build competence, confidence, and clarity in your work. Supervision is not just about oversight — it’s about transformation, reflection, and becoming the clinician you are meant to be.

Supervision is a space for reflection, growth, and grounded support. Whether you're a new therapist building confidence or a seasoned practitioner navigating complexity, clinical supervision offers a collaborative container to deepen your practice.

I offer supervision that is trauma-informed, relational, and inclusive — honoring your clinical wisdom while supporting you in areas like case consultation, ethics, countertransference, and self-care. Our goal is to co-create a space where your work feels supported, curious, and alive.
